Joseph Atatsi is currently a Financial Services Regulator in the United States. His expertise is in management consulting, regulation, enterprise risk management (ERM), fintech, data science, corporate governance, ethics & compliance, and research. He has over 16 years of professional experience and has made significant contributions in advising senior business leaders and serving as a subject matter expert on fintech related matters. He has worked in Africa, Middle East, and North America in high-level management positions.
Joseph has a passion for education and is a strong proponent of student innovation. In 2017, he was appointed Co-Chair of Roosevelt University's Heller School of Business in Chicago, United States. He also serves on the Board of Hunger Resource Network, a not for profit charitable organization in the United States, whose aim is to alleviate hunger by making connections between those who have surplus food and those who need it.
Joseph holds a Master of Accountancy (MAcc) from Bowling Green State University, United States and an MBA from the University of Florida, United States. He is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA). He is currently pursuing his Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) at the University of Florida, United States. His doctoral research focus is financial technology innovation and its impact on the financial services industries in African and Middle Eastern economies.
